OCEA - You're invited! Please join us, and bring a colleague or two!

Hello Members!

Well, we started 2017 off with a big bang! If you missed our February Cyber Crime meeting, you really did miss out! The meeting sold out more than a week ahead of the event, and the speakers really delivered. The energy in the room was so exciting - there appeared to be great camaraderie among our guests --- Escrow personnel and Realtors alike! We understand that another association is hoping to duplicate our program in the near future - stay tuned and we’ll let you know if that comes together.

We’re excited about our April 19 meeting, and are expecting a big crowd this time, too, so get your reservation in early! We have two heavy-hitters from the lending industry coming to speak with us on the apparent disconnects between Lenders’ practices and Escrow’s. Knowledge is power. Join us for a peek behind the veil - let’s see if understanding how things work will allow us to work together more effectively, and with less emotion and stress tied to the process. See the attached meeting notice and reservation form. Invite your favorite loan officers and processors to come, too! As in February, you may pay by check, or online through Eventbrite.com.

If Bulk Sales are your Superpower - or if you want them to be - CEA and The Escrow Training Institute are collaborating to put on a Bulk Sale class from 9AM to 4PM Saturday, April 1, at National University in Costa Mesa. Our own Debbi Faber, renowned Queen of Bulk Sales, will moderate a panel of 3 excellent speakers on the subject. The registration deadline is 3/25/17. Click here for registration form and details.

A word to our Sponsors: The funds generated from raffle ticket sales are really what allow us to stage our meetings, as the dinner cost itself is pretty much a “break even” with the venue. A gigantic thank you to everyone who bought tickets (Congratulations, Winners!), and to each of our door prize donors at the February meeting, representing the following companies (in alphabetical order).

ON TEAMWORK: “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success.” - Henry Ford

On that happy note, it is an honor to work together with your stellar, creative Board of Directors on behalf of OCEA’s members who are dedicated to obtaining the education required to be all that we can be. Don’t we each owe that to the public we serve? Legislation and the industry march forward whether you do or you don’t...The harsh reality is that if you’re not keeping up, you’re falling behind. Keep learning. We’re here for you.

See you April 19th!

All the best,
Debi Peters, CEO, CSEO
2017 OCEA President
