	FALL 2025 IS BRINGING BIG CHANGES FOR FIRPTA! After September 30, 2025, the IRS will no longer accept checks. How are withholding taxes to be paid to the IRS after that date? The IRS now has many fewer employees than in prior years. What can escrow expect working with their much smaller staff? IRS proposed devastating FIRPTA legislation which almost became law this year (requiring 35% withholding on foreign sellers) -- it failed initially, but could come back!
